Yes.  I am a Duchess.  A very old and cranky (at times) Duchess.  I've lead a full and vibrant life thus far and until recently, I was quite happy with it just as it was.  After all, I have my staff to care for me, my Chamberlains to run the everyday goings on of the Palace (well, maybe not so much), I've traveled extensively throughout my Dukedom and have met many adoring fans of Royalty.  The Common People really do want to keep the class system in place, you know.  They are comfortable with their station in life.  All in all, I've led such a wonderful life that I just didn't see how on Earth I could ever find any more excitement.  {translate the word excitement to mean adoration}

The Chamberlains are Growing Up

And they are becoming a wee bit more reliable in the performance of their duties. Because of this, we are able to make contact with more of the common people who dwell in the Land of Hagg.

{To be read in your most arrogant British accent.  It will help you if you tilt your head back and look down your snoot.}

The Royalty of Hagg have always wanted to make it a priority to regularly meet with the Commoners.  We like to stay in touch with their needs and we feel compassion on their role in our much loved Land.  Were it not for the Commoners, we Royalty would not be needed, of course.  Therefore, we think it necessary to humble ourselves to meet with them as often as our schedule {pronounced sheh'dule} allows.  You may think of us as 'upper crusty' or dis-engaged, but let me assure you that some of the Commoners we meet are quite intoxicating!  Just look at this one!

The Very Bad Habit of Pooch Comparison

It's a very bad idea to compare the way your pooch behaves to the way other people's pooches (say that 10 times) behave.  It could turn out (and probably will), that you really don't know what your talking about.

I've spent a long time trying to learn how to train dogs.  I'm a city girl who never grew up around animals and so it doesn't come naturally for me.  I've always been that shy kind of person who tends to think other people are really better at things (any thing) than I am.  My personality quirks have not been my friend when it comes to dog training.  Thankfully, God has given me enough tries that I'm starting to get it.  It's kind of like the movie 'Ground Hog Day', if you try over and over again, eventually, you might get it right.
